OUR STORY


Brandy Svendson and Dr. Natalie Chan first met while working in the field of HIV and AIDS in 2009. They had both noticed a gap in public and population health work. Researchers conducting high-value research weren’t effectively communicating their findings to broader audiences. Creatives who could communicate this research in innovative ways that would reach those audiences didn’t have a deep understanding of the communities impacted. They were operating on parallel lines.
They knew that if they brought academics and creatives under one roof, compassionate, evidence-based, and multi-faceted solutions would be possible. This led them to found Be the Change Group in 2012 with a mission to help clients in population health, education, and climate create positive change.
Over 13 years later, we’re proud to partner with global innovators, leaders, and problem solvers to improve the health and well-being of communities. Our teams design human-centred, evidence-based solutions for clients ranging from local health authorities and government agencies to international non-profits and NGOs.
